Why I Dream of Grocery Shopping Alone
Wednesday night I went grocery shopping alone. It was glorious, simply glorious. No one was begging for cookies. There were no near death experiences involving a dancing child and a shopping cart collision. I didn't have to say "Stop that!" even once. It was great!
Here is a glimpse in to why it was so great. These were taken today in the frozen food section of Harris Teeter. Notice that I have to have Rachel actually cart around the groceries because my cart is full of boys like there was some sort of buy two get one free special. Wouldn't all those calls for "Mommy" and "Mama" drive you up a wall. It is a wonder we don't starve to death because if I were in my right mind I would never take these crazy people anywhere. I assure you, it is like this every time we go to the grocery store.

LOL!! ROFL!!!! I am honestly laughing out loud, first I was totally cracking up how Rachel became the entertainer and is dancing around and then I really lost it when I saw the tiny little grocery cart with food compared to the giant cart full of kids. :)

Kris,
I start a new job soon. Based in Potomac Mils. I will do what I can to give you an hour and a half or so once a week (M - F) so you can go shoping. Believe me even with only two I feel your pain. Truly, seriously. If YOU want you can take one with you. We will see what we can work out!
Love you! Rachel is quite a wonderful dancer!

Oh my gosh! I am cracking up at this video! Too, too funny!
I end up either with the kids in the cart and me saying, "Sit still! Don't step on anything!" or food in my cart and the kids on the ground (sometimes literally laying on the floor, which I am happy to see that Rachel does as well!), and me saying, "No running! Stay right by me!"
I'm also amused by the pestering going on between Nicolas and Jack. Sparkle does that often to Pumpkin as well-- just messing with him, touching him, whatever, until Pumpkin is going crazy.
So funny! (Um, when it's not my kids.) What a good idea to take a video.

Oh gawd. I only have two but I feel your pain. A few weeks ago, on a rare occassion where I was able to grocery shop solo, I let three people cut the line in front of me just so I could continue being by myself. That's not wrong, is it?
