King Corn

I watched an amazing documentary last night, King Corn.  Yes, I watch documentaries for fun.  It drives Marty a little nutty that I am always having weird stuff delivered by Netflix, but it is what I like and last night it paid off big time.  Back to the point.

As I have told y'all in the past, we try to avoid high fructose corn syrup.  It is not an easy thing to avoid, but we are doing our best.  Well, after watching this movie, I feel even more confident that I am making the best choice for our family.  Of course, now I am also going to have to move to organic beef because of all the sick corn fed cows in our hamburgers.  But to understand that, you will need to watch the movie.

One warning, do not watch this movie unless you are prepared to change the way you eat.  It is just that powerful.  But, if you do want to see it, you can watch it on-line through Netflix.  AHHHH, instant gratification.

We had this on our Netflix list, but after reading your review I moved it to the top. We watched it last weekend and it was powerful. Fortunately, we have a local farm where we get our beef. If you haven't read any of Michael Pollan's books, I highly recommend them.

Here's the URL for the farm: wolfcreek-farm.com
